With their groovy metal sound, Orbit Culture from Sweden have become one of Sweden's most successful modern metal bands since their formation in 2013. With influences from thrash metal, death metal, metalcore and catchy choruses, the band has mastered a tightrope walk that only a few can manage. The press was quick to draw comparisons to Metallica, as Karlsson's clean vocals resemble those of James Hetfield, while the instrumentals on tracks such as "North Star of Nija", "Vultures of North" and "Saw" also incorporate aspects of technical death metal between thrashy groove metal and melodic death metal. With four EPs and four albums already released and tour support for bands such as In Flames, Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine, the band has become a force to be reckoned with in modern metal. The new album "Death Above Life" will be released on October 3 via Century Media Records and will be presented live on an extensive European tour at the Swedes' biggest headline shows to date. With the Portuguese black metal phenomenon Gaerea and the Finnish metalcore band Atlas in their luggage, Orbit Culture are counting on great support. The package comes to Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, Munich, Frankfurt and Cologne in October and November.

Orbit Culture was founded in 2013 by singer and guitarist Niklas Karlsson and guitarist Maximilian Zinsmeister, who was part of the band until 2016. The band formed its current line-up with the addition of guitarist Richard Hansson, bassist Fredrik Lennartson (both since 2016) and drummer Christoph Wallerstedt (since 2019). After its formation, Orbit Culture released its debut EP "Odyssey" in the same year, which was followed by the debut album "In Medias Res" in 2014. After the release of the second album "Rasen" (2016), the band attracted attention on a larger scale with the EP "Redfog" and was able to confirm the emerging hype with their album "Nija" (2020) and the EP "Shaman" (2021). In 2023, Orbit Culture released their album "Descent" with a release show at the Summer Breeze Open Air and then toured worldwide. With "The Tales of War" and "Death Above Life", Orbit Culture released two singles from their upcoming album in spring 2025, once again revealing dark soundscapes full of grooves and heaviness that inspire with the Swedes' trademarks.
