orbit - Tour 2025 - Köln

In the organizer's words:

In his early twenties, Marcel moves to Berlin and starts working there as a music producer. He quickly realizes that the noise of the urban jungle does not bring him happiness and flees the metropolis. After returning to his hometown, he starts his own music project dedicated to his roots and releases his debut EP "Perspectives" in 2020.

Rather than being a shiny new product of the music industry, orbit is increasingly becoming a place for creativity, giving rise to a real community both on and off the internet. Without a record label behind him, Marcel founds a collective with friends that realizes various projects such as handmade merchandise.

In 2021, Marcel organizes his first tour in close collaboration with his internet community. A few months later, he and his friends play over 20 DIY shows at private festivals, in nature and backyards across the country. A year later, his first official headline tour in Germany is sold out, and another year later, in 2023, the first European tour follows.

In early 2024, orbit takes another bold step on his journey and organizes DIY shows in Mexico. Using FaceTime, Marcel and his friends coordinate the shows with people from the orbit online community they only knew via Instagram chats, thousands of kilometers away. A few months later, the orbit caravan flies across the ocean to play their first concerts overseas. The same year brought even more milestones, including concerts in the USA, Iceland and support shows for Ben Böhmer and Parra for Cuva. The most significant highlight of the project so far was playing at the legendary Burning Man Festival, a moment that expanded orbit's circles from a small hometown to the world.

After an incredible journey over the past 4 years, Marcel is now taking a break from live performances to focus on studio work. However, fans can look forward to more: In winter 2025, Orbit will embark on the Small Town Friends on Europe Tour, bringing new music and fresh stories to the stage.
