An afternoon full of musical masterpieces

You can look forward to a captivating musical journey through different eras, focusing on the diversity and expressive power of the great Jehmlich organ. The concert begins with the timeless genius of Johann Sebastian Bach, whose virtuoso "Praeludium and Fugue in C major BWV 549" will immediately cast a spell over you. Robert Schumann will then take you into the profound world of Romanticism with excerpts from his "Studies for the Pedal Piano op. 56". With movements such as "Mit innigem Ausdruck" and "Adagio", Schumann's music reveals an enchanting palette of emotions.

Another highlight of the afternoon is the "5th Sonata in D major" by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, which impresses with its mixture of drama and lyricism. The crowning finale is César Franck's impressive "Pièce héroique", a work of gripping drama and solemn grandeur, which brings the concert to a glorious close.
