Colors and scents

The Oriental Market takes place on Burbach's market square when it becomes colorful and lively. Colors and scents, magical and sometimes unfamiliar sounds attract visitors from near and far to Burbach. They don't want to miss out on the delicious food, the wide variety of goods, the music and the dancing.

Handicrafts and culinary specialties

More than 60 vendors will be represented at the Oriental Market with handicrafts and international culinary specialties. Visitors can expect a wide range of authentic home-made dishes such as gözleme, couscous, samosas, köfte, chapli kebab, phad thai, thread cakes, baklava and French macarons. The Orient is also available to take home: the stalls sell African fabrics, oriental lamps and ceramics as well as handicrafts from Southeast Asia.

A colourful program

An attractive stage program will provide entertainment. Musicians from different parts of the world play traditional and modern pieces of music. Kathak and belly dancers demonstrate their art on stage. A special highlight is the performance by the band Los Gonzales with Spanish and Latin American rhythms, flamenco sounds and jazz harmonies.

In the community center, the KidS department of the state capital and the community work (GWA) Burbach offer a children's program from 11:30 am to 5 pm.
