OsterTanzTage: La Veronal

Sound body - body sound. The word "Sonoma" cannot be found in any dictionary. It is a neologism from the Greek "soma" for body and the Latin "sonum" for sound. Marcos Morau explores this connection between sound and body together with his collective La Veronal. Sonoma transports the audience into an imaginary film studio. Inspired by the traditional processions of his homeland and influenced by the works of surrealist filmmaker Luis Buñuel, reality and dream come together.

For over two decades, the OsterTanzTage have been bringing contemporary dance from all over the world to Hanover and transforming the opera house into a vibrant festival center for a whole week. Whether dance theater or ballet, contemporary or classical - there is something for everyone here.
