Circus Meets Dance - Outbox Me & The Funky Monkeys - 10 Year Anniversary

In the organizer's words:

One day - two anniversaries! Movement, energy and community!

Celebrate with us the 10th anniversary of The Funky Monkeys, Germany's most renowned Circus & Urban Dance Company and the Outbox Movement, Berlin's finest all-style dance battle, where urban, contemporary and classical dance styles come together. We move together and groove together.

From 3 pm, the doors open to an open space for arriving, warming up and tuning in. Together we prepare body and mind for an intensive, playful and multi-layered exchange - with ourselves, with others and with the space.

We move on to the Cypher Concepts - an experimental format that rethinks classic freestyle cyphers.
Whether dancing, performing acrobatics or observing - everyone is invited to take part, watch or spontaneously join in. The space remains open, permeable and curious.
We have a little surprise for you towards the end! 😉

At the end, the stage belongs to the invited dancers and artists. In short encounters (1-on-1 + partnering) they will exchange their dance skills.

After a short break, you can look forward to Groove - a rousing show by The Funky Monkeys that brings the theme of cohesion to life with spectacular acrobatics, urban dance and humor. In a world full of individualism, they use poetic images and daring stunts to tell a story of strangeness, trust and growing together.

Every party needs good food: a barbecue and a bar will be available throughout the day.

3 - 4 pm: Arrival & warm-up together
4 - 5 pm: Small Cypher rounds with changing movement concepts. Conclusion with a big joint cypher
17:00 - 17:30: Exhibition rounds with invited dancers & guests - 1-on-1 & partnering
18:00: Cool down and jam
19:00: Admission show
20:00: Start of the show "Groove"
