Plagued by sleepless nights between gentle melancholy and covetous longing, PAAVO tells his own stories. It is the bleak dreariness of the Ruhr area, between loneliness and security, which merges with the rough aesthetics of his past as a post hardcore singer and gives his music its form. Inspired by the gentle waves and angry brute force of Hans Zimmer's soundtrack to Interstellar or Dune and artists like Paula Hartmann, Levin Liam, Kummer or Stromae, PAAVO gives space to his poetic view of the sweet, inner pain as an individual. The unique blend of powerful, dynamic sound, unpolished beats, his impressive, multi-faceted voice and poignant lyrics make PAAVO an artist to keep an eye on. PAAVO is pop, hip-hop and cinema.

PAAVO'sdebut single Barmann was released on 29.11.2024. "Broken heart swims in drinks and I cry on a stranger's shoulder", he sings, describing the pain that so often accompanies change in a very visual way. A pain that wants to be drowned in the seduction of the night and one's own suffering. A pain that is characterized by anger and just as much longing. The combination of lyrical sensitivity and an energetic beat always gives rise to a feeling of humble hope. Is there really a light at the end of the tunnel, or just a cigarette butt slowly burning up in the darkness?
