In numerology, the number 23 is considered a special number with a strong spiritual meaning. It symbolizes the union of body, mind and soul and also stands for creativity, self-expression and individuality. That all sounds good and we're simply taking this as a maxim for the Palais birthday in edition number 23. We're celebrating the anniversary with DJs George Bleicher, Daniel Jäger and Sonic on the night of May Day two hours longer than normal, i.e. until 12 noon.

George Bleicher, the man behind our long-running WE PLaY event, will be taking the first shift. The full-blooded electronic musician always puts together powerful beats and rare sound gems to create a complete work of art and is sure to have a surprise package or two up his sleeve for his birthday. Afterwards, Daniel Jaeger from Berlin will take to the mixing desk. He is a regular at capital city clubs such as Kater Blau, Sisyphos and Salon zur wilden Renate, and has also graced world-famous festivals such as Burning Man and Fusion with his sound. He is A&R of the Berlin label Criminal Bassline, has of course already released various songs there and works as a mixing & mastering engineer for many other record companies and artists. Our third mixmaster is DJ Sonic, a true veteran from our ranks. It's great that he's celebrating the next year of his life with us. He celebrated his own birthday with us at the Palais at the end of February and rumor has it that he intends to light the fire again with his melodic, groovy sound.
