With their genre cocktail of art rock, emo punk and garage, the brothers Remington Leith, Sebastian Danzig and Emerson Barret - better known as Palaye Royale - have been constantly providing musical surprises since 2011. There is screaming, there is singing and, above all, the heart is served on a musical silver platter in rock style. On the current album "Fever Dream" from 2022, the result is reminiscent of My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco or, in songs such as "Love in LA", artists such as Yungblood, for whom the band has already opened a US tour in the past. A dark, vampire-esque look has accompanied the trio since their debut album "Boom Boom Room" from 2016, on which the band's sound features even stronger rock'n'roll influences than on the current longplayer. This was followed two years later by the second album "The Bastards", which is a concept album about a parallel world called Obsidian, which initially appears to be paradisiacal but reveals its true, evil face as the album progresses. Longplayer number four has now been announced. "Death or Glory" will be released at the end of August and follows "Fever Dream". Palaye Royale's pre-release single "Showbiz" already shows the stylistic direction the next album will take - and, as is so often the case with the Americans, the signs are pointing towards broadening their horizons. This is expressed in the natural further development of the genre boundaries that they themselves have repeatedly broken down, which form a harmonious, energetic mixture of glam rock, art punk and Brit pop on "Showbiz" and the single "Just My Typ", which has also already been released in advance. As the title "Death or Glory" already suggests, opus four will revolve around the fine line that so often exists between success and defeat or highs and lows. Freshly packed with new tracks, as well as the bands Hot Milk, I See Stars and Huddy as support acts, the group will then go on tour at the end of the year, including a stop in Germany.
