PARIYESTAN

In the organizer's words:

Since 2022, the Pariyestan multiverse has been experimenting with long-lasting collective dream meditations and immersive relaxation exercises in public spaces. In this edition, the focus is on a listening session accompanied by slow, dream-like choreographies and the dialog between the sisters Lady White Snake and Little Green Snake (青蛇+白蛇). Sisterhood is understood as a form of resistance. It is a coming together of individuals who dream together in languages they do not understand. They share artistic expressions freely with each other, creating a monument in time together. Through slowness, love and trust, they powerfully explore other possibilities of living together. For the performance evening, they invite the audience to relax on mats and cushions and start the evening lying down. In this colorful setting of handmade cushions and poetic films, visitors will have the opportunity to explore themes of family trauma, home and sisterhood in different states of consciousness. They are challenged and encouraged to remain present throughout the performance.
