Parkside Sessions: Sorvina, The Funkologist

Parkside Sessions is Orangerie Neukölln's live music series, dedicated to showcasing diverse, up-and-coming talents on Wednesdays. Next up on stage, we present Sorvina and The Funkologist.

Firmly rooted in the vibrant landscape of hip-hop, Sorvina is a New York-born, Berlin-based artist with an infectious love for storytelling. With live instruments & performance at the center of her sonic identity, Sorvina's music lies somewhere at the intersection between jazz rap, neo-soul, alternative hip-hop, and gospel.

Wincent Leonard Gromm, aka The Funkologist, is a Berlin-based producer, sound engineer, and MC with Ethiopian, German, and Greek roots. A passionate musician since childhood, he blends jazz, hip-hop, dub, and soul to convey emotional and political messages. Known for his improvisational live performances, he co-founded the art collective Culture.Room and collaborates with notable artists like Kurt Tallert and Verbz. Gromm's debut EP, Sparflamme, is set for release in 2025.
