Parkside Sessions is Orangerie Neukölln's new live music series, dedicated to showcasing diverse, up-and-coming talents on Wednesdays.
This time, we invited the following two artists:
Carried by a warm vocal colour, profound lyrics and casual attitude, Keboo brings together the sounds of soul, hip hop and jazz. Born and raised in Berlin, the singer with German-Ethiopian roots writes her songs herself. In doing so, she boldly enters the genre of neo-soul - with German lyrics - which has hardly been present on the national music market until now.
BAT ZOO is more than just a singer, songwriter, producer; he is a true renaissance artist whose creativity knows no bounds. His journey in music and artistry is a testament to his African-American roots, and the rich cultural heritage that has shaped him. Growing up, BAT ZOO was immersed in a melting pot of musical influences, thanks to his father's eclectic taste. From soulful R&B melodies to the gritty rhythms of hip-hop, his father's record collection opened his ears to a kaleidoscope of sounds and styles, crossing genres with seamless fluidity.
