Party Dozen

The Australian experimental noise rock duo Party Dozen, consisting of saxophonist Kirsty Tickle and drummer Jonathan Boulet, are notorious for their rough, energetic soundscapes, in which saxophone loops, underpinned by a heavy thunderstorm of drums and all kinds of electronic manipulations merge into an explosive and unpredictable sound experience instead of the usual wall of guitars. Their music breaks down traditional genre boundaries by merging elements of punk, jazz and industrial noise. Party Dozen have made a name for themselves through their intense live performances, where Tickle's fiery saxophone playing and Boulet's powerful rhythms captivate the audience from start to finish. On their latest album "Crime in Australia", the band shows that no musical idea is too unusual for them not to give it a chance. And with it, they have created a work that takes every listener on an exciting, emotional, dazzling and humorous journey, surprisingly danceable and serving all the senses.
