Pasta Arrabbiata is an open, monthly format of the Falte project space that brings people together for a meal without registration. Every 15th of the month, the doors are open for people to come and go as they please - guests can participate flexibly, get actively involved or simply get together over fresh pasta with spicy tomato sauce.

How does the evening work?

Eating together: The pasta is cooked continuously throughout the evening as required. Even those who arrive late will receive a freshly prepared portion. Guests are invited to help with the preparation or to pass the bowl to the table to share.

Guestsare welcome to bring their own drinks and extras such as parmesan or cheese alternatives to share if required. Gluten-free pasta can also be brought and cooked on site.

Cost sharing: 5-10€.

Eating together as an artistic practice

Pasta Arrabbiata explores community and hospitality as an artistic practice. The format takes up the everyday ritual of eating in order to break through social fragmentation and practice eating as a form of hospitality and resistance to isolation. As a social sculpture,Pasta Arrabbiata invites participants to be co-authors of the event and creates a space in which eating together breaks down barriers and enables open togetherness. Thanks to its flexible structure, which encourages co-creation, Pasta Arrabbiata becomes a dynamic platform that constantly reshapes itself with the guests and makes it possible to experience community through 'eating together' and spontaneous conversations.

Pasta Arrabbiata has been held monthly since 2016 - first in Berlin and since 2021 in Hanover. Initiated by Ana Halina Ringleb, the format has been hosted by Projektraum Falte since 2023.
