It was the shepherds who first heard of the birth of the Savior. In Italian cities, this story lives on in Christmas traditions to this day. Even in the Baroque period, composers were inspired by the pastoral sounds of the shepherds and their traditional instruments. With "Pastorale", Dorothee Oberlinger presents a musical picture book of Italian Christmas, supported by actor Michael Witte as the narrator of special Italian Christmas stories.

For families, this shorter version of the concert will take place in the Rococo Theater in the afternoon.
