The participatory performance "Swing Swing Swing" oscillates between trauma and lust for life, between the flight, expulsion and concentration camp experience of three young women and the swing after 1945. All three women settled in Munich after the war. The art action starts at Rotkreuzplatz. Three women wrapped in gray blankets pull a heavy and exhausted cart to the Hubertusbrunnen. The performance begins there at 5 pm. You can hear the experiences of the witnesses. As soon as Gene Krupa's drum solo from Benny Goodman's "Sing Sing Sing" begins, the three tear the blankets off their bodies, reveal colorful demoness costumes and dance out all their anger, sadness and humiliation, but also their new courage to face life, until the audience is encouraged to dance along to swing music.

How we became what we are." focuses on questions that are still relevant today: What is the relationship between democracy, immigration and remembrance? How can authoritarian structures be overcome and a democratic society created? After the end of the war in 1945, Munich was a city on the move. Six temporary projects by Munich artists from Annuale 2025 address the changes and continuing structures of urban society after 1945 and comment on them artistically with regard to democracy, culture(s) of remembrance, repression and ideology.
