Large parts of the rainforest in Nicaragua are being destroyed by illegal cattle breeding. Together with undercover journalist Christopher Jordan, the indigenous Rama and the Afro-descendant Kriol scour the 'Indio Maíz' nature reserve in search of illegal settlers. But they make no secret of the fact that they have no interest in stopping the deforestation, as there is a huge demand for Nicaraguan beef, especially in the USA.

Documentary filmmakers Camilo de Castro Belli and Brad Allgood follow the rangers' fight against the overpowering meat cartel, which exports its products profitably to Western countries.
