Peppa feiert Ostern

What's chirping here? Is that spring? Then Easter is not far away! It's high time for Peppa to wake up from hibernation. Quickly do the spring cleaning, paint the eggs and get out into the fresh air. But who's that hopping?

In the cozy studio theater of the Alte Wursterei in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, children from the age of 3 can attend a performance together with their parents or grandparents. The performance lasts half an hour. There is an exit fee after the performance, depending on your preference and ability. Afterwards you can enjoy a delicious cake, hot chocolate and lemonade. Children get a free drink. And if you like, you can draw Peppa a picture or write her a letter.

"Peppa celebrates Easter" is one of six productions for young audiences. The non-verbal dance theater pieces use dance, clowning and music to tell stories on topics from the children's world of experience. They are characterized by subtle play, versatile movement vocabulary and sensitive interaction. The productions transcend linguistic and cultural barriers to create emotional experiences without words. They stimulate the children's imagination, their own desire to play and create and the (also verbal) exchange between them. Since 2018, Peppa has been touring nurseries in Cologne, the surrounding area and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and can also be seen at the Alte Wursterei. She has already reached more than 8000 young viewers.

disdance project realizes interdisciplinary projects with interfaces between dance, theater, video art and mediation for young and old. It cooperates nationwide with actors from culture and education and is a member of the International Association of Theater for Children and Young People ASSITEJ. Projects have been awarded the Kölner Kunstsalon Theaterpreis 2022, nominated for the Kölner Theaterpreis 2023 and 2008, the Kinder- und Jugendkulturpreis NRW 2016 and the Preis für Kulturelle Bildung 2013 des Bundesbeauftragten für Kultur und Medien.
