Douwe Bob won the first edition of 'The Best Singer-Songwriter of the Netherlands' in 2012, represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 and has won a 3FM Award twice, a BUMA Award and an Edison three times. In 2023, he celebrated his 10th anniversary and appeared on the television program De Beste Zangers.

Resting is not for this walking collection of contradictions. Douwe Bob is too much of a go-getter, cocktail shaker, ladies' man, bohemian, romantic, melancholic, party animal, father, poet, singer, rock'n'roller, charmer, guitarist, night owl, skipper, poker player, style icon, pianist, city boy and man of nature... all rolled into one.

After the roots-Americana album Born To Win Born To Lose (2021), the sixth album was released on Valentine's Day 2024, a real pop record: Where Did All The Cool Kids Go? With the hits This World Is Our Home and Nothing To Lose. The album, written with Stijn Van Dalen and producer Gordon Groothedde, is about love in the broadest sense of the word. About feeling at home on this earth, being happy in this world and with the people you love.
