Spring is planting and gardening time. Many hobby gardeners have already pre-grown fruit and vegetable plants or are in the process of repotting cuttings and thinning out perennials. This usually leaves a small surplus that has no place in the garden, on the balcony or on the windowsill at home. But what to do with the surplus plants, cuttings and seeds?
The Bergisch Gladbach City Library team has teamed up with Klimafreunde Rhein-Berg e.V. to organize a plant swap.
In addition to the plant swap, the event also offers the opportunity to find out about ecological issues, exchange ideas and make new contacts. The public library has also compiled a media list and is preparing a small media exhibition on the topic of sustainability.
The youngest participants from the age of 4 have the opportunity to make their own seed balls.
Registration is not required.
Important:
- As a general rule, if you bring something to swap, you may also take something home with you.
- Please label all seeds and plants that you want to swap.
- The event will take place outdoors - in the event of heavy rain, the organizers reserve the right to postpone the date.
