In the organizer's words:

We conclude the season with Franz Schmidt's 'The Book with Seven Seals'.
This monumental choral apocalypse was composed in 1937, on the eve of the Second World War. It deals with the wonders and horrors of the seven seals and, after an incomparable quadruple fugue, leads to salvation at the end with the sevenfold increasing shouts of Hallelujah. Truly a major musical event that will resonate for a long time.
