Musical fun at the highest level

Beethoven swings and Wagner's Tristan dances tango: only the Philharmonix can do that! Since 2017, the unconventional ensemble has been shaking up the classical music scene in its current line-up with spirited arrangements of well-known works and lively new compositions. And they clearly have fun doing it. After all, what could be better than trying out together with friends how much jazz there is in the Fledermaus Overture and how much Bach in Freddy Mercury's legendary Bohemian Rhapsody? (The answer in both cases: surprisingly much.) Of course, it doesn't hurt that all seven members of the ensemble are absolutely top musicians, have won many awards and - in five out of seven cases - are members of the Vienna or Berlin Philharmonic. So whether you love classical music or jazz, klezmer or pop - you've come to the right place. Because with the Philharmonix, not everything is classical music. But everything has musical class.
