"Of the desert and the oases"

- On a fragment by Hannah Arendt

When the philosopher Hannah Arendt speaks of the world as a home for people, she uses the metaphor of "the desert and the oases". Only with oasis experiences can we transform the desert into a human world.

Since 2023, the philosophical practitioner Dorothea Sophie Höck and the Kunsthaus Erfurt have been inviting interested parties to regular salon discussions in the gallery at the Kunsthaus Erfurt. The Philosophical Salon takes place once a month on a Wednesday evening. Interested and thoughtful people are invited. No previous knowledge of philosophy is required.

A contribution towards expenses of 5 euros or more is requested on site.
