PHOTOBOOK DUMMY AWARD

The Photobook Dummy Award presents its shortlist of 50 international photo books in the Depot e.V. photo studio. Be part of the jury and vote for your favorite book during the f² photo festival.

The worldwide competition for the best unpublished photobook dummies has been offering photographers the opportunity to present their book projects to an international audience every year since 2010. Participants can make valuable contacts with publishers, galleries and festivals. Formerly known as the Kassel Dummy Award, the PhotoBookMuseum in Cologne has been responsible for the Dummy Award since 2023.

Every year, around 50 books are selected for the shortlist and presented at photo festivals and exhibitions worldwide. In addition to a jury assessment, each exhibition venue has one vote, which is determined either by a public vote or by the curators' decision. These votes will be used to select 5 winning books from the shortlist.

The book that wins the PBM/MAS Prize will be produced and published by Turkey's leading photo book printing and binding company MAS Matbaa in collaboration with the PhotoBookMuseum. The costs will be fully covered. The other four winning books will receive a production grant for the printing of their books by MAS Matbaa.
