Saturday 29.3.2025

Düsseldorf will once again be celebrating PIANO DAY in 2025.

For 10 years now, this day, founded by Nils Frahm, has been celebrated all over the world with concerts and events all about the piano. In this anniversary year, we are looking forward to two special concert evenings on March 28 and 29 in the pool. On these two days, various local and international artists will be putting the piano center stage, interpreting the instrument in their very own
their very own way and invite you to rediscover piano music.

Amsterdam pianist Muriël Bostdorp, for example, is inspired by observations of nature when composing her pieces and presents these intimate and melancholy miniatures on the first evening of the festival.

Blair Coron mixes traditional sounds and stories from his Scottish homeland with modern sound effects and synthesizers.

The concert on Saturday is dedicated to jazzier sounds.
The young Düsseldorf jazz pianist Lukas Lohner will be performing his compositions and improvisations of jazz, classical and electronica.

The origins of Düsseldorf-based Sebastian Gahler's extensive oeuvre also lie in jazz music. His trio is an integral part of the German jazz scene. For Piano Day, we are delighted to welcome him in the pool with solo piano pieces.
