At the same time, the band returns with "Detroit" - the first taste of new material from the Pigs' pen since the LP "Land of Sleeper", released in February 2023. Detroit" is a powerful piece of striking noise rock about a vile man with even worse behavior. Matt Baty, the band's vocalist, says of the track: "Detroit reflects the worst manifestations of male jealousy and bitterness and the way deliberate avoidance of accountability can lead to deflecting responsibility and instead blaming external forces like fate or God for perceived injustice."
