Pile from Boston are more than just an insider tip from the depths of the American indie rock universe, because although they have been off the beaten track for almost 20 years, they still have a particularly enthusiastic and dedicated fan base at their side. Founded in 2007 by songwriter Rick Maguire as a solo project, the whole thing grew into a powerful band in the years that followed. Kris Kuss has been providing the clean beat on the drums since 2010, while the first bassist Matt Connery is now back on board as touring guitarist after a temporary break in which Alex Molini took over the four strings.

With its blend of wiry hardcore energy and down-to-earth soul, the indie rock quartet has become a favorite of fans waiting for a new generation of approachable, human rock 'n' roll heroes. For many, Pile are the Fugazi of their generation with their blend of simple down-to-earth sound and unpretentious ethos. With "Sunshine and Balance Beams", their ninth studio album will be released in August 2025 via Sooper Records, on which they address the existential and social contradictions in today's society. Their music comes to life in a temporary balance between light and shadow, chaos and order, which you can also be captivated by live. You now have the chance to see them on tour in Europe this fall!
