Egomessiah Release Shows 2025
With his new project PINHEAD, multi-instrumentalist Ilja John Lappin (also known as bassist and singer of the progressive metal band "The Hirsch Effekt") takes the listener into his personal world of sound.
Even though the majority of the music can be categorized as progressive metal, it should come as no surprise that PINHEAD cannot be pinned down to just that.
You can expect a cross-genre rollercoaster of emotions: gentle, catchy melodies, clear, devotional vocals - right through to demonic screams and growls, aggressive and driving metal riffs, which are joined by melancholic industrial and gothic vibes. Admirers of electronic music should also enjoy this show-off.
PINHEAD are virtuosos at building up atmospheric and epochal soundscapes, combining them with violent and merciless parts, tearing them down and finally recreating everything again in a different form. The development of each piece is unpredictable and sounds like its own feature film; a race against one's own shadow for the longed-for peace of mind - without, however, leaving the feeling of getting lost and untraceable.
This musical performance is supported by a live band consisting of guitarist Florian Fleischer (Deine Cousine), bassist Marc "Moorbius" Andrejkovitz, drummer Simon Schröder (Oomph, Cypecore) - and a specially programmed light show.
"Egomessiah" - about breaking and reassembling, saying goodbye to indoctrinated ideas, leaving an old world, turning to everything new and above all: to oneself."
