The story is simple, the realization merciless: you could have known it. A small ensemble, in the tradition of jugglers' stages and fairground theater, tells the gruesome ballad of the soldier who sells his violin to the devil. Meaning his soul. In return, he receives a book that predicts stock market prices and promises the soldier great wealth. The soldier learns a bitter lesson of the same nature.
