The film selected by the seven-member jury from Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart will be awarded the FEAR GOOD AWARDS and announced at the end of the festival.

Plastic Guns

The world is looking for mass murderer Paul Bernardin. The crème de la crème of the criminal world is hot on his heels: two amateur investigators with an Internet diploma, the Danish police and, above all, super detective Zavatta. And he has already tracked down Bin Laden while running a successful tapas bar on the side. The breathless chase leads through French back gardens, Scandinavian airports and onto the streets of Argentina. The man has to be found somewhere. Someone else if necessary. The main thing is arrest.

After BLOODY ORANGES, director Jean-Christophe Meurisse continues to explore the boundaries of taste and genre with relish in PLASTIC GUNS. While the sleuths turn over every stone on the globe, the subversive satire also turns everything on its head. A wonderfully mean caricature of the serial killer thriller - or as they say in France: an homage.
