Platzhirsch präsentiert: BUÑUEL (IT/US) & Nina Garcia (FR) im Stapeltor

BUÑUEL (IT/US) are a noise rock band from Italy and the USA with singer Eugene S. Robinson (ex-OXBOX). In their new album, the band mixes Robinson's unique vocals and razor-sharp lyrics with post-hardcore and industrial, thrash metal and free jazz. Buñuel is made up of a real supergroup: Xabier Iriondo plays guitar (with AFTERHOURS, among others), Andrea Lambardini (THE FRAMERS) plays bass and Franz Valente from IL TEATRO DEGLI ORRORI is at the start as drummer.

NINA GARCIA (FR - formerly Mariachi) has been researching and creating around the electric guitar since 2015, halfway between improvised music and noise. Her instruments are reduced to a minimum: a guitar, a pedal, an amplifier, with which she shapes sounds and immerses herself in chaos to bring out the unheard. The focus is on exploring the instrument, its resonances, its limits, its expansions, its impurities, its audible niches: going with it or against it, containing it or making it sound, supporting it or violating it. There is feedback, crackling, short circuits, jolts, overtones, squeaks and, by chance, almost perfect tones and chords.
