As Divide and Dissolve, Takiaya Reed (saxophone, guitar, live effects) creates instrumental music that is both heavy and beautiful, classically influenced and yet excitingly contemporary.

In October she is on tour with her new album "Insatiable", which tells of love and compassion, which we need more than ever in these times.
Her expressive and communicative music has the ability to speak without words and uses frequencies to interact with the naturally occurring resonance. The music of "Divide and Dissolve" is an affirmation of dispossession through colonial violence, honoring ancestors, opposing white supremacy and demanding Indigenous sovereignty. With thundering cymbals, crunchy feedback, heart-wrenching riffs and neoclassical echoes, the new collection explores the idea of freedom through transience and destruction versus compassion - an urgent call to imagine a better world before it's too late.
