Hamburg illustrator Mone Seidel reads from her book "Plingpling flips out". How does the little triangle manage to make itself heard in the big orchestra?
Meet instruments such as the violin, harp and piano and find out how special sounds are created in an orchestra. The important role played by small, delicate instruments such as plingpling, the triangle, becomes clear.

The reading is accompanied by a joint creative activity with the illustrator:
Design your own little stages out of sheets of cardboard and put your favorite instruments from the book, kindergarten or school in the center of attention!

Materials are provided, you don't need to bring anything. Recommended for families with children aged 3 and over. No registration required. Free admission.

About the book

Even among the instruments in an orchestra, things are not always harmonious: Plingpling, the little triangle, is frustrated. The double bass and timpani make noise, the violin and piano play solos. But what can a triangle do? As Plingpling's emotions boil over, the other instruments in the orchestra rush over and tell him what part each of them will play in the performance. Then the day of the big concert arrives and by the thunderous final applause at the latest, it is clear: without the little triangle, the sound and the concert would not have been perfect! (E. A. About the illustrator

Mone Seidel is a freelance illustrator and visual artist from Hamburg. She creates individual illustrations for print and digital media that visually support content and bring stories to life. She is also a live illustrator at events and conferences and gives art workshops for all age groups. Mone Seidel gives an insight into her work on Instagram and on her website. In addition to "Plingpling flips out", Mone Seidel has also illustrated other books, including "Max and Hedi" and "Fred and I".
