Pluto w/ Karine & Leroy

In the organizer's words:

Summer is just around the corner! The Palais is once again buzzing and spitting and Pluto is starting its open season. Closely intertwined with the electronic music of the last 35 years, 13r0y from Leipzig and Karine from Kyiv will guide you through the ramifications of their musical family tree. To warm you up for the trip into the countryside, the HTW design students have brought along the interactive sound installation "Wald" (Forest), which you can try out during Pluto.

Karine
Karine, a former resident and booking agent at Kyiv's iconic Closer club, now based in Berlin, continues to share the club's legacy on a global scale. Her exceptional musicality and an immense experience in mindful listening and dancing throughout the two decades we've known Karine, including ten years of working at Closer, have brought her to the position of a truly promising talent on the scene. Her records are a colorful spectrum of deep, minimalist, hypnotic, groovy, and quirky sounds depicting an array of periods and moods spanning multiple genres from house and techno to breakbeat, electro, and more: she would playfully blur the boundaries between genres anyway.

Leroy
Being socialized in OF/FFM, Leroy was introduced to minimalistic approaches at a young age. Setting limits or so-called boundaries seemed like a necessary sacrifice to be able to go all the way. Driven by the lookout for like-minded people, he now curates his own events in Leipzig. Whether on the dancefloor or beyond, it's all about exploring sound; sensing depth and trying to comprehend how a two-channel signal can subtly deconstruct into a 3-dimensional experience.
