In her Guessays - derived from the English "to guess" - Uljana Wolf compares the activity of translating with jumping on a bouncy castle: "With each jump, the space changed, with each new bounce, the jumper's sense of space changed. The landscape bounced back unpredictably. The bounce house was basically a poem." With the ability to perceive the world differently through its ephemeral architectures, to have different experiences, the theater also shares some of the qualities of the bounce house in its best moments. On the last evening of the Poetica week, the international poets will therefore take another run-up and, together with members of the Schauspiel Köln ensemble, allow their texts to change the landscapes in which we live; they will try out letting go as well as new movements and explore the free spaces of poetry together.
