Poetry Slam Giessen

The fiddliest poetry slam in the student city of Giessen.

Giessen, the city of chatterboxes, poets and thinkers, invites you to a poetry slam. Here the Justus Liebig University, there the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, in between the Elefantenklo. A kebab triangle with seven kebab stores and, for those who weren't expecting it: the Mathematikum. A city like a stew. Rustic, spicy and always tastes of home.

True beauty comes from within. That speaks for Giessen and for the texts of the poets who perform here. Invited from all over Germany, they vie for your favor every month. Self-written texts, a time limit of 6 minutes and no props are the rules of the country's most elephantine poetry competition. You are the jury, choose the monthly winners with love and literally have it in your hands with applause for each season who will be the annual winner and compete for us at the Hessian Poetry Slam Championships for Giessen.
