POETRY SLAM BW 25

In the organizer's words:

The Baden-Württemberg Poetry Slam Championships have been held annually in different cities across the state since 2010. The appeal of the festival has grown steadily. The major state competition for stage poetry strengthens the regional cultural scenes in the state.

In 2025, the Baden-Württemberg Poetry Slam Championships will take place in Stuttgart from May 22 to 25, 2025.

For the audience, the championships offer the chance to experience outstanding lyricists from their own state in direct comparison. The nomination process across regions and cities creates a cross-section that is curated decentrally and is therefore diverse and modern. In the competition for the title of state champion, the best current texts are performed and put to the vote; the championships are therefore an indispensable platform that helps to reinvigorate the poetry slam format for the entire season.

The festival consists of two competitions: In the adult section, a total of 16 artists* perform in two preliminary rounds and in a grand final at Schauspiel Stuttgart. In the U20 competition, 8 young poets will celebrate an U20 final at the Junges Ensemble Stuttgart
