For 20 years, "The Word is not enough" has been the motto at "BLUE SHELL" on the third Sunday of every month when Alexander Bach, the gentleman literary agent of the poetry slam, invites the country's best poets to brilliant battles of words. In the anniversary year, the season will also close with an ultimate battle under the motto "Nobody does it better", when the winners of the last 11 months meet at the traditional annual finale for a text competition between the best of the best. May 18 promises to be an evening in a class of its own, with the most impressive female readers, freestylers, cabaret artists, comedians and slam poets of the season. Björn Rosenbaum [Dortmund], Christian Gottschalk [Cologne], Heidi Daniels [Ratingen], Ina Stollewerk [Cologne], Jakob Wehner [Cologne], Julian Spiegelhauer [Wuppertal], Mario El Toro [Cologne] and Richie Minus Eins [Kassel] have qualified.
