Every 2nd Tuesday of the month, host Elias Raatz presents the crème de la crème of slam poets, language acrobats, poetry grinders and line benders at the BEST OF POETRY SLAM. Experience the best of poetry, comedy, poetry, cabaret and readings in one evening. The event is supported by Stadtwerke Tübingen and the engineering office for energy efficiency PATAVO.

WHAT IS POETRY SLAM?
Poetry slam is a type of modern poetry competition in which stage authors perform their self-written texts live with full vocal and physical commitment. The texts can be very different: funny, lyrical, cabaret or poetic - and with such colorful and wide-ranging topics that even the most beautiful peacock can only look depressed at its own plumage.

VARIETY IS A MUST!
Anyone who thinks of Goethe poetry when they hear the term "poetry competition" is wrong! Poetry slam is more like the rock concert among literary events: From turbulent storytelling to stand-up comedy to cabaret, from politics to social criticism and emotions, everything is allowed at the poetry contest deluxe. From young to old, poetry events with fresh literature, wit and plenty of variety are extremely popular.
