Pohlmann, the Westphalian from Hamburg by choice, who wrote "Wenn jetzt Sommer wär" in a pub, is now an integral part of the German-language music scene. He landed a hit with this song in 2006. Although it is always a great fun factor on his stages, his constant search for the deeper content of the lyrics and stories has created a good sustainable program full of philosophy, charm and wit, which continues to attract, find and expand his audience. It is as if his lyrics are traveling in time. And although he wants to stimulate thought with his songs, Pohlmann knows that the message, combined with humor and positivity, offers the best connection to the audience. As a result, his live shows on stage always convey a really good attitude towards life. "Life is too strange not to be fun," says Pohlmann. Following the release of his sixth studio album "falschgoldrichtig" in September 2020, Pohlmann released new music in 2023: the EP "COLUMBUS" has been available on all major streaming platforms since January 5, 2023. The music videos for the eponymous first single and second single release "Lebensgefühl" were filmed in South Africa. Pohlmann presented his authentic and honest songs as part of the 18-year anniversary on the 18-city "Jahr aus-Jahr ein" tour in January and February 2023/24. Pohlmann is currently working on a new LP and can also be seen live again in 2025 at a number of festivals and one-off shows.
