Polarstern Isar CleanUp 2025

Yeah, the date is set! On Saturday, July 5, 2025, together with many great partners, friends, clubs and associations, we will once again free the banks of the Isar from garbage and have a good time. The green energy supplier Polarstern has been calling for the Isar CleanUp in Munich once a year since 2013. In 2025, the Isar CleanUp starts below the Brudermühlbrücke bridge and ends at the Ludwigsbrücke bridge on the Kulturstrand beach with delicious drinks and snacks in a relaxed atmosphere. Be part of it!

Info & route: This is how the Polarstern Isar CleanUp works.

• 📅 Date: Saturday, July 5, 2025.
• 10:30 am: Meeting point under the Brudermühlbrücke (easily accessible from the U3 Brudermühlstraße).
• 10:30 - 11 am: Distribution of garbage bags, gloves & pretzels.
• from 11 a.m.: Polarstern Isar CleanUp to the Vater-Rhein fountain at Ludwigsbrücke.
• approx. 1 pm: End of the Isar CleanUp and get-together at the Kulturstrand.

Important: The Isar CleanUp takes place in all weathers, so please bring sun protection or rainwear and wellies. But we order good weather, word of honor ✌️

All information about the route.

Our route takes us from the Brudermühlbrücke (accessible via U3 Brudermühlstraße) to the Ludwigsbrücke near the Deutsches Museum in 2025. We will pass the Wittelsbacher and Reichenbach bridges. During the CleanUp on the right bank of the Isar, we will collect garbage from the banks, meadows and bushes. Depending on how many participants come, there is an optional second CleanUp route on the left bank of the Isar.

Once again this year, there will be some refreshments at the start. So we'll be ready for the journey to the finish: the Urbanauten cultural beach at Ludwigsbrücke. Drinks, snacks and deckchairs await you there in a relaxed atmosphere. The perfect location to round off the CleanUp together.
