Berlin, early 80s: Mark and Anna's marriage is in ruins. The quarrels that their son Bob is suffering from escalate all the more when Mark, an ex-intelligence officer, finds out about Anna's affair with Heinrich. While Mark falls for Helen, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Anna, a private investigator he has hired follows Anna to an old apartment. There he discovers Anna's sinister secret: a bizarre monster...
