Premiere der Kammeroper „Erschaffung der Welt oder Kabbalat Schabbat“

In the organizer's words:

Premiere of Alexander Manotskov's chamber opera "Creation of the World or Kabbalat Shabbat" in Berlin.

"Based on true events" - A. Manotskov, composer.

The world was created somewhere - everyone agrees, believers, scientists and children. But how do you answer the childish question of where and how the world came into being? The biblical text about the six days of creation and the seventh day of well-deserved rest is transformed into the libretto of the chamber opera. The audience is invited to take part in a play in which the world is created, the table for the Sabbath meal is laid and the perfection of creation is celebrated. In addition to classical Western instruments, the opera also uses traditional Eastern instruments - Indian harmonica and flute as well as the Persian santoor. "The Creation of the World or Kabbalat Shabbat" is an attempt at unification in a time of division. It is an open invitation to come together.

The performance will be in Hebrew with German subtitles.
