PRESSKUCHEN – PIECES UNDER PRESSURE

The Presskuchen Tour started to offer artists the opportunity to develop common structures and to network. It uses the gesture of the performance and the structure of the stage to embody this approach and to double it with the help of the exhibition space.

In this way, it is possible to bring together individual positions that have been developed over the years under one visual sign without having to subordinate them to a specific theme. The tour leads through the cities of Leipzig, Berlin, Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Munich, Graz and Vienna. - -> - --> -->

Born out of a shared frustration with an art business oriented towards ends and means, they concentrate on finding and developing formats for young artists that circumvent these tendencies. Understanding and describing the conditions of artistic production and its representation in conventional exhibition spaces is part of the motivation.
