Bailey lives with her father Bug (Barry Keoghan) in a squat in Kent, near London. Instead of looking after Bailey, Bug prefers to concentrate on his latest business idea when he's not partying the night away coked up: he wants to develop a hallucinogenic superdrug from the secretion of a special South American toad and sell it at a high price. After she runs away from home in a row, Bailey meets the strange Bird (Franz Rogowski), who comes out of nowhere in somersaults and a pleated skirt. In a world where no one cares about her, Bird becomes Bailey's closest confidant. But is Bird really who he says he is? In BIRD, acclaimed director Andrea Arnold (FISH TANK, AMERICAN HONEY) tells a touching and poetic story that falls somewhere between fairy tale and drama. An outstanding cast with Franz Rogowski (TRANSIT, PASSAGES) in the title role as Bird and Barry Keoghan (SALTBURN, THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN, DUNKIRK) as Bug alongside newcomer Nykiya Adams.
