Prinzessin Samira und die verzauberte Dattel

In the organizer's words:

Ballet students present the oriental fairy tale by Stuttgart-based
author Mona Frick

The little princess Samira was once friendly, helpful and inquisitive. But as the years pass, she becomes a vain and conceited young woman. Her parents, the royal couple, wish for the old values and loving treatment of their princess to return, but nobody could have guessed what would happen...

Sometimes beautifully romantic and full of costumes, sometimes witty and full of joy, but also serious, the 80 or so ballet students from Rottenburg and Ahrensburg dance the story of the snooty princess who, apart from her beauty, is really only interested in her wealth.

An enchanted date lands the princess in a dream world from which she can only awaken if she manages to regain her former values. Her younger self meets her in a white nude, accompanied by a top-class pianist (Anastasiia Pashchenko), also from Ahrensburg.

The children's fairy tale "Princess Samira and the Enchanted Date", written by Mona Frick, was premiered as a ballet performance in Ahrensburg in April 2023 by the students of Ballett Studio Holtz under the direction of Jasmin Knop.

After the success in Ahrensburg, it is the author's heartfelt wish to bring the children's fairy tale to life on stage "at home in Stuttgart".

Thanks to a cooperation with the ballet school Developé from Rottenburg, under the artistic direction of Kitty Bloch, the non-profit association Ballettfreunde Ahrensburg e.V., the Ballett Studio Holtz and the Friedrichsbau Varieté, the oriental fairy tale is now on the program in Stuttgart on January 6.

This non-profit ballet school exchange is supported by several Stuttgart sponsors, without whose financial help no performance in Stuttgart would have been possible.

Let yourself be enchanted by the oriental splendor of bygone times and be whisked away into a danced fairy tale with a highly topical theme.
