In PRINCIPLE KATAMARAN, the protagonist Toni Silberstein (Nic* Reitzenstein) tells a story of the struggle against gender attributions and stereotypes as a modern "Little Prince". Constantly confronted with the incomprehension of her environment, Toni creates her own world as a child with the help of her exuberant imagination, in which she can be whoever she wants. But there are many obstacles to overcome in her search for home, security and recognition, which are reflected in everyday situations ranging from the absurdly bizarre to the deeply sad. Where is Catamarania and what exactly is a "Gnoi"? An identity odyssey as a promising odyssey, philosophically and literarily inspired by Dante's circles of hell from the "Divine Comedy" to Gilles Deleuze/Felix Guattari's "Milles Plateaus". Clownish slapstick meets poetic and touching storytelling with a musical repertoire that ranges from the "Good Night Song" to hip-hop songs!
