Prismeo UNPLUGGED: Dom & Oktober

The Prismeo LAB will soon be transformed into a sound universe between folk, pop and pure emotion: DOM & OKTOBER bring their songs to our sofa stage - honest, touching and full of depth.

OKTOBER is Kaiserslautern's most autumnal export: the queer singer-songwriter with the fiery red mane sings of interpersonal highs and lows - tender, fragile, powerful. With her debut EP Everyone's Sorry and her touching voice, the 25-year-old Berliner-by-choice has long since sung her way into the hearts of her listeners. Her new single More Where That Came From will be released the day after the concert - we might be able to hear it live.

At her side: DOMINIQUE FRICOT, a Canadian storyteller with a voice that gets under your skin. For the singer-songwriter from Vancouver, music has always been a way of understanding inner processes - a form of therapy to transform trauma into sound. His songs are reminiscent of the cinematic songwriting of Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins, while at the same time incorporating the depth of modern sound poets such as Bon Iver or Sufjan Stevens.

Dom's music is melancholic and hopeful at the same time, his concerts are living narratives - dynamic, approachable, full of heart. Together with OKTOBER, they create a musical dialog that gets under your skin, moves and connects.
