The private Karl-Müchler-School in Dortmund-Hörde is celebrating its open day on Saturday, May 24, 2025 in the form of a large summer festival with many creative contributions and prominent guests. On this day, the private school will offer interested guests an insight into everyday school life at the private school on Lake Phoenix. Actress Janine Kunze, TV presenters Shary Reeves (Wissen macht Ah!, WDR) and Florian Ambrosius (Super Toy Club, SuperRTL) as well as poetry slammer Christofer mit F have prepared an informative entertainment program.

At the summer festival, the private Karl Müchler School will be presenting how today's schools motivate their pupils to learn. After all, the school's self-imposed goal is to get the best out of every pupil. This sounds like an ambitious undertaking, but one that succeeds brilliantly if you specialize in continuously promoting the joy of learning and stimulating the curiosity of children and young people.

At the summer festival, presenters Shary Reeves ("Wissen macht Ah!") and Florian Ambrosius ("Super Toy Club") will perform an interactive knowledge show with lots of exciting experiments. The poetry slam, which is popular with students, will be introduced to pupils and parents by NRW vice national champion Christofer mit F. Guests can also look forward to a reading by actress Janine Kunze. Hobbythek legend Jean Pütz and Lilo von Kiesenwetter, star actress and mother of a former pupil, will also be attending the event as long-standing friends of the school.

The pupils of the Karl-Müchler-Schule are also contributing a great deal to the celebration. Among other things, they have created an elaborate room installation on the theme of "Modern Nature", rehearsed musical interludes and exhibited works of art. For interested parents and pupils, various teaching sequences from secondary levels I and II will also take place, providing an insight into everyday school life at the private school in Dortmund.

The individualized learning concept of the private school in Dortmund is very popular, and not just with prominent figures.
