In the run-up to the Bundestag elections on February 23, it seems clear that the result will be challenging for all those in Germany who are committed to a progressive, inclusive and non-violent plural democracy. It is foreseeable that there will be plenty of reasons for anger, bewilderment or sadness on election night. That's why we want to come together and shout, cry, discuss, laugh, hope, drink and dance - and show our support: We are fighting for a plural democracy, and we are not giving up, neither before the election nor after.
HKW invites you to a public screening where the first projections, results and post-election statements will be followed together and commented on live in front of an audience. There will be elephant rounds, live music from Berlin hip-hop band The Swag and plenty of collective emotion.
HKW is calling on people to get active and fight together. Every voice, every discussion and every contribution counts to take a clear stance against exclusion, right-wing violence and anti-democratic tendencies.
Further public screamings will be held at the following venues:
FFT Düsseldorf, Kammerspiele München / Habibi Kiosk, Kampnagel Hamburg, Karlstorbahnhof Heidelberg, KoalaKollektiv im Mousonturm Frankfurt am Main, PACT Zollverein Essen, RAMPE Stuttgart, Rechenzentrum Potsdam, Schauspiel Dortmund, Studio Literatur und Theater Tübingen in cooperation with Club Voltaire, Theater Konstanz
